Elizabeth Bone is a well established jeweller who has been practising for over eighteen years. She trained at Crewe and Alsager college of Higher Education (now
Manchester Metropolitan University), from 1984-1987 gaining a BA in Crafts Combined Studies, (wood metal, ceramics and textiles). She established her own studio in 1991 and also worked with the artist and jeweller Wendy Ramshaw for ten years.
Elizabeth's work is featured in numerous jewellery publications and she has exhibited and sold both in the UK and internationally. Her work is sought after by UK and USA collectors.
She designs and makes a range of distinctive
contemporary precious metal jewellery, hand fabricated using silver and 18ct
gold which includes one off pieces, commissions and production work. Her work
is exquisitely crafted with the finest attention to detail and surface finish.
Teaching has featured throughout Elizabeth's career as an adult education tutor of Jewellery and Silversmithing and a visiting lecturer at degree level.
